| The Importance of Cash Gifts |
Joe Del Valle was born and raised in San Francisco and ran a successful import/export business there. With roots firmly planted in "The City", San Francisco Towers was a perfect fit when he decided in 1997 to make it his new residence.
Before moving into San Francisco Towers, Joe had a long tradition of giving to various community causes. He has continued that tradition and has expressed his generosity to the Towers with numerous gifts.
In addition to several donations to the Towers General Community Fund, his contributions have helped add to the Library's collection and have enhanced the walls of the Towers with fine art. Through his generosity, residents enjoy music played on a new piano, and are able to watch programs seen on a Toshiba Cinema Series HD big screen television. His most recent donation was a new Mercury Grand Marquis Sedan that helps greatly with the transportation needs of those residents who no longer drive. Door handle bags, in which morning papers are placed, are perhaps his most widely appreciated gift to the residents of the Towers. The bags are an added convenience for everyone, but those with tired and stiff backs are especially grateful.
