ESC Foundation works with both potential and current residents of our five life care communities to find ways to generate lifetime income through deferred gifts such as Charitable Remainder Trusts and Charitable Gift Annuities. Please take a look at donor stories below from actual ESC residents who share their stories about the benefits of investing in a charitable gift vehicle with ESC Foundation.
In addition to deferred gifts that generate lifetime income, we always welcome outright cash gifts placed at the immediate disposal of the Foundation. These gifts may be either restricted or unrestricted in purpose and take the form of cash, securities, or gifts of property. They may be used for wherever needs are greatest, for our award winning Senior Center Without Walls program, our Senior Produce Market program or our Senior Resources program. Outright gifts are always encouraged first when possible because of the immediacy of their usefulness to the work of ESC.
ESC manages three affordable housing communities for low and very low income seniors - Presidio Gate Apartments in San Francisco, Oak Center Towers in Oakland, and Jennings Court in Santa Rosa. An outright cash gift to any of these communities can be put to use immediately to improve the lives of the seniors living in these communities.
We will be happy to talk with you regarding any of your gift planning questions. In the meantime, please feel free to explore our website and the many tools for estate planning you will find.
If you have questions, please contact Bill Tanner, Executive Director, at 925-956-7447, btanner@jtm-esc.org, or Karen Huff, Associate Director of Fund Development, at 925-956-7448, khuff@jtm-esc.org.
